Security Assessment Module

For every facility interested in safeguarding its property, processes, and personnel. This module addresses Department of Homeland Security requirements and is also a resource to help managers and facilities identify Good Management Practices associated with both site and transportation security. The Security Assessment module is available to all Dakota clients at no charge.

Construction Safety

Pipeline Safety

For facilities engaged in activities associated with the transportation by pipeline of natural gas or other types of gas, hazardous liquids, carbon dioxide, and/or oil.This module contains applicability determinations and compliance requirements for topics that are common to pipeline facilities, particularly operations, maintenance, record keeping, and reporting. It may be used as a stand-alone system or as an Add-On Module to the standard Dakota Federal System.

Marine Cargo Handling

For employers engaged in loading cargo to a vessel, unloading cargo from a vessel, moving ship’s stores or ship’s gear, moving cargo within a marine terminal or into or out of any land carrier (including trucks and railcars) at a marine terminal, and any other activities associated with the overall operation and functions of a marine terminal and longshoring operations aboard a vessel. This module covers OSHA requirements specific to the onshore movement of cargo and other onshore operations at marine terminals and the movement of cargo and gear aboard vessels. It may be used as an add-on to Dakota’s general industry health and safety modules which cover general industry standards that apply to marine cargo handling operations.

Offshore Mineral Resources

For facilities engaged in the exploration, development, and production of oil and gas on the Outer Continental Shelf (OCS), with a focus on ongoing operations subject to an existing lease. This module covers requirements for OCS facilities subject to a BOEM lease and BSEE oversight, such as offshore platforms and mobile offshore drilling units. It is designed to focus on managing EHS compliance at existing OCS facilities that have already obtained a lease. Ongoing compliance obligations of the BOEM leasing program under the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act and ongoing BSEE EHS management requirements, including SEMS II, are covered.

Offshore Safety and Security

Designed to ensure compliance with U.S. Coast Guard safety and security regulations, this module covers U.S. Coast Guard safety and security regulations as they pertain to offshore facilities engaged in the exploration, development, and production of oil and gas on the OCS. It focuses on requirements for fixed and floating OCS facilities, including MODUs.
