New Site Icon Improves Visibility to Your Locations

In the coming weeks, ProActivity users will notice something different when navigating the system. A special icon will indicate which folders in the Organization Hierarchy represent physical locations. Clients have always been able to designate folders as Sites, but this icon will provide users with better visibility of Sites when viewing the Organization tree.

Why use Sites? When a folder is marked as a Site, facility information can be added directly to the Folder Properties. Information such as Address, Region, Business Unit, SIC/NAICS Numbers, Latitude, Longitude, and Altitude can all be included. All the items contained in the folder are then associated with the folder's Location information so you can view the information on the Data Table and use it to filter and analyze data by geographic location.

This change will not affect the way users navigate ProActivity, but including facility information on folders that represent Sites will allow clients to get more value from ProActivity’s applications. Two recent product enhancements that rely on accurate Site information are the exporting of incident data for OSHA electronic reporting and the tracking of Action Item performance on the new Manager and Corporate dashboards in Tracer.
