Electrical Safety in HAZMAT Envrionments

This 45 minute course presents fundamental information on electrical safety in HAZMAT environments. Upon completing the course, employees should:
- Recognize the different types of hazards associated with electricity.
- Know why electricity and hazardous materials should not "mix.
- Understand how the National Electric Code (NEC) categorizes HAZMAT environments that contain ignitable materials.
- Know the types of engineering controls and work practices that are used to keep electricity from causing HAZMAT incidents.
