Bloodborne Pathogens in Healthcare Facilities

This 45 minute course presents fundamental information on dealing with bloodborne pathogens in healthcare facilities. Upon completing the course, employees should:
- Understand the health hazards presented by bloodborne pathogens, including the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C.
- Understand the policies and procedures that healthcare facilities must follow to control exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
- Know specific procedures and equipment that they should use to protect themselves and others from exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
