DOT Cargo Securement

This 20-minute course presents fundamental information for employees on the DOT’s Cargo Securement Standard, and how to safely secure cargo on a truck. Upon completing the course, employees should:

• Understand the hazards an incorrectly secured load can present to them and other vehicles on the road.
• Recognize that accidents involving improperly secured loads are common and preventable.
• Know what they can do to ensure that the cargo on the truck that they’re driving will remain safely secured.
