RPM Saves Time on Compliance and Safety Reporting

RPM International Inc. is a multinational holding company with subsidiaries that manufacture high-performance coatings, sealants and specialty chemicals, primarily for maintenance and improvement applications. Tremco Inc., a subsidiary of RPM, approached Dakota about an incident management and reporting tool. The ideal solution would provide updates on regulatory requirements, record and report on incidents and near misses, help identify root causes, and would allow for global analysis of trends.

Upon learning of the breadth of Dakota’s offerings, the scope of the project was expanded to include EHS compliance and auditing and replication of their paper-based systems. Led by Dakota’s compliance services team, Tremco accomplished their initial goals and recommended that RPM begin using ProActivity across all their subsidiaries.

RPM is currently working to consolidate and normalize their safety and compliance related KPIs and documentation throughout the organization. They estimate that process improvements will save them 133 – 160 man days per year in internal reporting alone.
