Summary: EPA is revising the NESHAP General Provisions as well as most subparts in 40 CFR 63 to specify the compliance dates and notification and recordkeeping requirements that apply to sources choosing to reclassify from major source status to area source status by limiting their potential to emit (PTE) hazardous air pollutants (HAP) to below major source thresholds, as well as those sources which subsequently revert back to major source status. The revisions include requirements for electronic notification of reclassification in certain circumstances through the Compliance and Emissions Data Reporting Interface (CEDRI).
