OSHA Revises Walking-Working Surfaces and Personal Protective Equipment Regulations

Action Forcing Change
Summary: OSHA is revising the Walking-Working Surfaces regulations for Ladders to state that 42 inches is the minimum and not the exact measurement for fixed ladder side rail extensions. In addition, OSHA is revising the Personal Fall Protection Systems regulations by revising the gate strength provision to be consistent with the national consensus standard: ANSI/ASSE Z359.12-2009, Connecting Components for Personal Fall Arrest Systems.
