Motor Carrier Safety: Compliance Date Extension for Medical Examiner's Certification Integration

Action Forcing Change Summary
FMCSA is delaying the compliance date of certain provisions of the Medical Examiner's Certification Integration final rule of April 23, 2015 (80 FR 22790) from June 22, 2018, to June 22, 2021. The delay is necessary to provide additional time for IT system development for the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners and allow time for State Driver's Licensing Agencies to make programming changes as needed.
