Proposed Regulatory Changes For The Disposal of Coal Combustion Residuals

Proposed Rule Change Summary
EPA is proposing to address the four provisions of the coal combustion residuals (CCR) final rule that was remanded on June 14, 2016, by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. EPA is also proposing six provisions that would establish alternative performance standards for owners and operators of CCR units located in states that have approved CCR permit programs or are otherwise subject to oversight through a permit program administered by EPA.
