Dakota Auditor

Technical Requirements (Web Version)

Software Environment:

You are responsible for installing and maintaining the third-party software products listed below, as well as any future patches, fixes and upgrades as may be required by the third party(ies) to ensure it (their) continued support. The minimum requirements needed for the successful installation of Auditor will be modified as third-party products become obsolete or non-supported.

You may be requested to upgrade to then-current minimum requirements to obtain technical support for Auditor from Dakota Software.

Database Server Requirements

Hardware:

  • Capable of running MS SQL-Server 2000 or 2005
  • Accessible via network by both the Auditor web server and the client workstations

Software:

  • Microsoft SQL-Server 2000 or 2005 (using the default SQL Server collation)

Disk:

  • 800 MB initially; plus additional space for user data

Web Server Requirements

Hardware:

  • Capable of running Microsoft IIS 5.0 or 6.0
  • Accessible via network by both the Auditor database server and the client workstations

Software:

  • Microsoft IIS 5.0 or higher
  • Active Server Pages must be enabled

Disk:

  • 50 MB initially; plus additional space for user data

SMTP Service Access (Optional):

  • The Auditor Alert feature requires accessibility from the Auditor Web Server to a mail server running the SMTP service.

Client Requirements

Hardware:

  • Capable of running Microsoft IE 6 or 7
  • Accessible via network to the web server

Software:

  • Microsoft IE 6 or 7 with Dynamic HTML Data Binding
  • Active Scripting must be enabled
  • Download, run, and script options must be enabled for signed ActiveX Controls

Disk:

  • No significant disk requirement
