RESPONSIBLE CARE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Description
:
The American Chemistry Council (ACC) introduced Responsible Care to respond to public concerns about the manufacture and use of chemicals. Responsible Care is moving beyond the original Codes of Management practices to achieve better EHS performance and obtain more business value for their members and Partners. The new Responsible Care Management System (RCMS) includes relevant aspects of the existing Codes which are subsumed into a RCMS that is based on benchmarked best practices of leading private sector companies, initiatives developed through the Global Environmental Management Initiative (GEMI), International Standards Organization (ISO) and other bodies, and requirements of national regulatory authorities.

Information Covered:
The new Responsible Care Management System Module, which is included in Dakota Auditor Version 6.3 includes checklist questions with convenient links to the appropriate sections of the RCMS Technical Specifications and ACC’s guidance information. Implementation guidance from the American Chemistry Council and the RCMS Technical Specifications are also included in The Reference Library.

CONSTRUCTION SAFETY
Description:
The Safety and Health Regulations for the Construction Industry (29 CFR 1926) guide employers, contractors and HS&E personnel in their efforts for achieving compliance with OSHA’s standards. By observing safe work practices and complying with these standards, the employer and contractor are providing a workplace that is free of all recognizable hazards related to construction activities and associated hazards.

The Construction Safety Module contains a selection of applicability determinations and compliance protocols that cover specific topics that are either: common to construction sites, particularly hazardous situations, and/or are frequently cited by OSHA. This module may be purchased as a stand-alone system or as an Add-On Module to a standard Dakota Auditor Federal System. Regulatory updates are included.

PIPELINE SAFETY
Description
:
The Pipeline Safety regulations (49 CFR 190-199) detail the standards used by pipeline operators in their efforts for achieving compliance with RSPA’s pipeline requirements. By observing safe operations, maintenance, and work practices and complying with these standards, the operator assures that the facility operates in a manner that is protective of both the environment and of the personnel who work there.

The Pipeline Safety Module contains a selection of applicability determinations and compliance protocols that cover specific topics that are: common to pipeline facilities, particularly operations, maintenance, record keeping and reporting requirements, and/or frequently noted by RSPA/OPS as audit priorities or as part of their Federal/State Partnership Program. SECURITY ASSESSMENT MODULE

Security Assessment ModulesmentIf your facility stores or handles specific chemicals that are regulated by the Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) Appendix A of the Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards ((CFATS) you may be subject to this important new regulation and its requirements.
