EPA Further Delays Effective Date of Revisions to Risk Management Program

Action Forcing Change Summary
EPA is further delaying the effective date of the revisions to the Risk Management Program which were published on January 13, 2017 (82 FR 4594) while the EPA addresses issues raised in petitions for reconsideration and takes further regulatory action. The rule delays the effective date fromJune19,2017 to February 19, 2019. To accommodate the delayed effective date, the final rule also delays the compliance date for the RMP emergency response coordination provisions (40 CFR 68.93) fromMarch14,2018 to February 19, 2019.
