Final Rule to Strengthen Federal Pipeline Regulations

Action Forcing Change Summary
PHMSA is updating the pipeline regulatory requirements with the following changes: adding specific time frames for telephonic or electronic notifications of accidents and incidents; adding provisions for cost recovery for design reviews of certain new projects; amending the drug and alcohol testing requirements; and incorporating consensus standards for in-line inspection and Stress Corrosion Cracking Direct Assessment.
