EPA Finalizes Revisions to Hazardous Chemical Reporting Regulations

New Action Forcing Change Summary
EPA is amending its hazardous chemical reporting regulations in response to changes made by OSHA to its Hazard Communication Standard to conform to the United Nations Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS). EPA is replacing its existing five hazard categories for hazardous chemical inventory form reporting under EPCRA Section 312 and for MSDS/hazardous chemical list submission under EPCRA Section 311 with the hazard classes listed in the revised Hazard Communication Standard. EPA is also adopting OSHA's "Safety Data Sheet" terminology.
