Under his vision and leadership, Dakota Software has become an industry leader for environmental management software. Known as an industry expert on the structure and role of environmental, health and safety (EHS) programs, Mr. Shiverick has written and made numerous presentations on the subject. Specifically, he has presented on the role of technology at the American Society for Quality Control, the American Society of Safety Engineers, and The Auditing Roundtable.
Mr. Shiverick was awarded the Extraordinary Service Award from The Auditing Roundtable, a professional organization dedicated to the development and professional practice of environmental, health, and safety auditing. He values his long standing interest in environmental issues and has been closely associated with the Student Conservation Association, a nationwide force of high school and college-age volunteers who are committed to protecting and preserving the environment.
Mr. Shiverick received a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Amos Tuck School of Dartmouth College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Geology from Bucknell University.
Vice President of Sales
Mr. Dayalal has helped establish Dakota as leading supplier of software tools for proactive compliance, auditing, tracking and incident management and sustainability initiatives. He has become an industry expert on the structure and role of environmental, health and safety (EH&S) audits and has written and made numerous presentations on the subject.
Mr. Dayalal holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Management/Finance from Walsh University. He serves as a President of the Sri Lanka Tsunami Victim’s Relief Fund, which he initiated to help the orphan children from his native country recover from the catastrophe in 2005.
Vice President of Software Development
Mr. Lazzaro is responsible for leading the development staff, driving the development process, managing projects and working closely with the Technical Architect and the VP of Business Development. Prior to Dakota, Mr. Lazzaro served as the Director of Engineering at Concurrent Computer Corporation where he was responsible for media data and advertising solutions focusing on Big Data development. He also has 6 plus years of experience in software development for patent law technology solutions.
Mr. Lazzaro holds a BS in in History and English from Ohio University in Athens. He also holds a MS in Information Architecture from Capital College in Washington DC.
Director of Product Management
Brooks Pollock has worked at Dakota Software since 1998, first as Director of Software Development, currently as Product Manager and Architect. Before his career at Dakota, he has served as Global Software Product Manager for Elsag Bailey (ABB) and Product Development Manager for Wisdom Systems. Previous to that he held software development positions with Standard Oil, Ford Aerospace and Lockheed.
He has a B.S. and M.S. from Kansas State University and additional graduate work in Engineering and Computer Science at Purdue and University of Houston.
Director of Compliance Services
Dr. Cole leads Dakota's Compliance Services Team of EHS professionals providing tactical project management and client system configuration including delivery of full implementation services to Dakota Software clients. She has more than 30 years of onsite industry experience in the Environmental, Health and Safety compliance and auditing fields, as well as 13 years of database administration experience with Dakota’s products.
Prior to joining Dakota, Dr. Cole held positions in the regulatory arena and in industry with global responsibility. Dr. Cole holds two Master’s Degrees in Chemistry and Environmental Engineering respectively, and a PhD in Environmental Engineering from Texas A&M University. She also holds QEP, CPEA, CVI and Six Sigma Transactional Green Belt certifications.
Manager of Regulatory Services
Ms. Rippe is responsible for managing all aspects of Regulatory Services at Dakota Software including identification and prioritization of content development and customization tasks, monitoring content aspects of product development and customer support activities, and development and trouble-shooting of database tools. She participates in content development tasks by researching and analyzing EPA, DOT, OSHA and other regulations and initiatives; and devising strategies for the content to leverage the software’s features and functions.
Prior to joining Dakota, Ms. Rippe was an adjunct assistant professor of chemistry and worked as a chemical hygiene consultant providing regulatory support and planning, including identification and analysis of pertinent federal, state, and local codes and regulations; training; and emergency incident response.
Ms. Rippe earned a Master of Science degree in Environmental, Health and Safety Management from the Rochester Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, summa cum laude, from St. John Fisher College.
Director of Marketing
Mr. Kimball is responsible for Dakota's internal and external marketing communications, brand management, and coordination of industry-related and user-focused events. With a background in design and promotions, he oversees product communications, public relations, social media, and overall brand awareness.
Mr. Kimball holds a Bachelor of Arts in in Computer Graphics and Marketing from Cleveland State University, with a focus on graphic design and multimedia communication.
